Programmers Don't Read Books -- But You Should. One of the central themes of is that software developers no longer learn programming from books, as Joel mentioned: Programmers seem to have stopped reading books. The market for books on programming topics is miniscule compared to the number of working programmers. The programmers are using mostly Python, and most of them running a small MySQL installation (developer installation). The rest of the guys are using mostly Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Is Netbook a viable choice for my programmers? And for the rest? What are the trade-offs I should be aware about when choosing between Notebooks and Netbooks?

The C++ Programmer's Notebook is a quick visual tutorial that provides a concise, approachable presentation of C++ syntax with illustrated examples. Topics covered in this book are Arrays, C-Style Strings, Files and Stream, Memory Management and Data structures. This book also includes information on writing a string class. Wolfram Notebooks offer the preeminent environment for any technical workflows—data science, modeling, research and education—empowering users with literate programming, easy-to-author interactivity and universal deployment across all platforms. Carefully designed to leverage familiar word-processing metaphors, Wolfram Notebooks are.
